It’s been 20 years since Sisqo released his debut solo album.

“It’s typical that labels push a lot of artists from boy bands to the forefront to have solo aspirations,” Sisqó tells Billboard. “But in actuality, I never wanted to be a solo artist. I really wanted us to be the best Boyz II Men or Jodeci that we could be — we really looked up to them. So me going solo was kind of out of necessity.”
