In a rare display of bipartisan praise, Hillary Clinton publicly commended President Donald Trump for brokering a landmark peace agreement between Israel and Hamas, calling it a major step toward stability in the Middle East, The New York Post reported.
The former secretary of state offered an uncommon nod to her longtime political rival, President Donald Trump, crediting his administration with achieving what many had thought impossible: ending the two-year Gaza war.
“I really commend President Trump and his administration,” Clinton told CBS News 24/7 on Friday, following the announcement that Hamas had agreed to Trump’s 20-point peace plan. “As well as Arab leaders in the region for making the commitment to the 20-point plan and seeing a path forward for what’s often called the day after,” she added.
