Fire destroyed a house in Richmond overnight.

Firefighters responded to the home on Cottonwood Drive around 2 a.m. Thursday. Officials say the fire apparently burned for a while before anybody noticed it. Half of the house collapsed.

The man who lived there and his 10-year-old daughter were reportedly away in Tennessee, and there were no reported injuries.

Officials have not released any information on the cause of the fire.
