Lexington police arrested a suspect they say broke into a business and stole around $15,000 early Sunday morning. Police say the burglar got into Baker Iron and Metal on Old Frankfort Pike through a side window around 2:20 a.m.  Police say that person was identified as Matthew Spurling, 24. According to court documents, Spurling was an employee at the business and was on suspension. Police say his girlfriend had recently been fired from the company. Investigators say they both knew the safe's combination. Police charged Spurling with burglary.
