Lexington police gave officers in Paris a hand investigating a suspicious package spotted along Main Street late Thursday night. Officials say a person the package around 11:30 p.m. while walking their dog. It was addressed to the Paris Police Department, but was left in front of a business about a block away from police headquarters. Officers shut down Main Street, and Lexington police deployed their Hazardous Devices Unit robot, known as 'Cletus,' to open the package. Turns out, there was nothing dangerous inside the box, just some shoe cleaning supplies. Police say they plan to check out surveillance cameras in the area to try to determine who left the package.
