The Lexington Police Department is working to identify a person caught on video damaging property at a home on Estrella Drive. Investigators believe the individual may be connected to a burglary on the same street.
In late September an officer took a vandalism report after a homeowner noticed damage to her landscaping. Home surveillance video revealed that in the early morning hours of Saturday, September 23 an older white female approached the front door of a house on Estrella Drive and moved the welcome mat from the porch. The woman was also observed damaging a shrub. According to the victim, neighbors had noticed other unusual activity that weekend, including lightbulbs removed from garage and porch lights.
At a home under construction across the street, a worker reported that the stove was missing and two bushes had been dug out of the ground. Due to the timing and similarity of the incidents, investigators think the same suspect may be involved.
The police department today released the surveillance video in hopes of generating new leads in these cases. Anyone with information is asked to contact Lexington Police by calling
