MetroNet has started work on the high speed internet network it’s planning to install in Lexington. The Herald-Leader reports the current work runs from Richmond Road to Broadway and out to the Interstates. Metronet says it’s possible the first customers will be served later this year, but it still estimates it will take up to three years to build the entire network. The Urban County Government has set up a web page and video to answer questions about the project at www.lexingtonky.gov/gig.
