A person killed in a Sunday morning crash has been identified as an Eastern Kentucky University football player. The coroner says 19-year-old Joseph Kraemer from Ohio was killed when he crashed on Tates Creek Road near Shallow Ford Road. Investigators say Kraemer hit a tree and then went over an embankment. He was pronounced dead at the scene. A spokesperson with EKU confirmed that Kraemer was a red shirt freshman for the Colonels. He had previously played for UTEP. Kraemer was born in Independence, Ky but lived in Ohio. The crash remains under investigation.
