A man has died after crashing on a Lexington road Wednesday night. It happened around 8 p.m. in 5400 block of Greenwich Pike. Police say the driver of the SUV was traveling toward Russell Cave Road when he lost control and hit a utility pole and then a fence. Officials say he was pronounced dead on the scene. No other vehicles were involved. Police say it appears the victim was not wearing a seatbelt. The Fayette County coroner says they'll perform standard toxicology but are not ruling out drugs or alcohol.
