Business Evacuated

(LEX 18) —  A Lexington business was evacuated Monday morning due to a confirmed ammonia leak at a plant on Lexington’s northwest side. Fire officials responded after 6 a.m. to 3M Ceradyne, a facility on 695 Laco Drive. Officials confirmed the leak was ammonia, but the area has now been cleared.MORE

Unemployment Down Statewide in April

Unemployment rates fell in all 120 Kentucky counties between April 2017 and April 2018, according to the Kentucky Center for Education and Workforce Statistics (KCEWS), an agency of the Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Cabinet.
