TAMPA, Fla. — The Detroit Red Wings won’t have forward Justin Abdelkader in the lineup tonight for Game 1 of their Eastern Conference quarterfinal playoff series against the Tampa Bay Lightning due to the hand injury that idled him for the final four regular season games.
Abdelkader skated again this morning at Amalie Arena and has been skating for several days, but he remains listed as day-to-day.This means, according to coach Mike Babcock, that Pavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg will play on the same line.
