State Police are investigating the death of a motorist who was killed while he was out of his car on SB I-275 at M-5 in Farmington Hills. He was hit by another driver. At first police were told by a witness that the man who was killed was changing a tire. Now they say that was not the case. Police say the man’s car was partly in the lane of traffic, and partly on the shoulder of the freeway, when the driver got out of the vehicle and was hit by the other car. That car flipped. The driver was injured. Police are investigating to determine why car number one was partly in the roadway, why the driver got out, and why car number two hit the first car. Police got calls of an erratic driver before the crash.
