UVALDE, Texas, May 24, 2022 ~ 19 children and one teacher were killed Tuesday by a gunman who opened fire in a Texas grade school.
The shooter entered Rob Elementary armed with a handgun, an AR-15 assault weapon, and multiple high capacity magazines. This after shooting his grandmother and then crashing his car just blocks from the school.
The suspect has been identified as 18-year-old Uvalde resident Salvador Ramos, who was confronted by authorities at the scene and killed.
The day’s events marked the 27th shooting at a U.S. K-12 school in 2022.
