GRAND RAPPIDS, April 11, 2023 ~ Michigan civic leaders, business executives, and travel experts are meeting to discuss the 2023 outlook of state tourism.
The 2023 Pure Michigan Governor’s Conference on Tourism is going on this week at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in Grand Rapids, with keynote speakers and workshops addressing both the challenges and opportunities facing the industry.

(CONTINUED) One of the keynote speakers was Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) CEO Quentin Messer. He spoke to 760 WJR Host Paul W. Smith about the importance that tourism plays in Michigan’s economy and all the types of travel experiences Michigan has to offer.
“Michigan really is best all around,” Messer said. “When you think about places, you have incredible four seasons, water, slopes and intellectual stimulation. We have all forms of tourism.”
