Detroit Auto Show Returns Sept. 13-26 With New Car Announcements and Spotlights on Electric Vehicles

DETROIT, June 7, 2023 ~ Organizers announced today that the North American International Detroit Auto Show will return this September with all-new experiences for guests to try.

The auto show will take place Sept. 13-24 at Huntington Place, featuring over 20 attractions that will showcase the newest car technologies. There will be twice as many brands represented in the show compared to last year and a higher focus on electric vehicles.

In addition to being inside Huntington Place, viewing areas will be set up in and around Hart Plaza and Jefferson Avenue. Public viewing of the show will open Sept. 18, with a media day and chrity preview set for the days prior. New vehicle reveals and a slew of startups are expected to be at the show.

(CONTINUED) The three major Detroit auto makers – General Motors, Ford Motor Co., and Chrysler Stellantis – will be participating in the show, said Detroit Auto Dealers Association Executive Director People Rod Alberts. He added that consumers will be able to drive some new cars to get first-hand experience.

Electric vehicles will be a major theme of the auto show, with a new electric vehicle indoor track to be one of the main exhibitions.

We have to get people experience,” Alberts said. “Give consumers a chance to get in the cars because it is a new era. Electrification is something we will all have to get used to and it is going to be a part of our future.”
